Congratulations AZHIN - Winner of the 2005 Thomson Scientific/Frank Bradway Rogers Information Advancement Award - presented by the Medical Library Association at its Annual Meeting in San Antonio in May.

The Thomson Scientific/Frank Bradway Rogers Information Advancement Award was awarded this year to Arizona Health Information Network (AZHIN) for their strong impact on the delivery of health information in the state of Arizona. This award recognizes outstanding contributions in the use of technology to deliver health sciences information, in the science of information, or in facilitation of the delivery of information. Health sciences librarians in Tucson and Phoenix incorporated AZHIN as a non-profit corporation in 1994 to provide MEDLINE and other electronic resources in health care to health sciences students and professionals in the state. It has since expanded to provide a host of electronic resources and educational services to thirty-three member institutions who are charged on a sliding scale, including hospitals, small rural health clinics, the Arizona prison system, county public health departments, telemedicine sites, and academic institutions.
